The Friends of The King's Head site is still operative arranging social events whilst the pub is awaiting opening.

The King's Head Hadstock

Our wonderful Grade II listed timber-frame village pub, the King's Head in Hadstock (on the borders of Essex and Cambridgeshire), has a bar with a lounge, dining, snug and public areas with lots of beams, timbers and brick fireplaces. There is a beer garden with a patio and also a car park.

Although the pub was trading profitably, on 31st January, 2016 the previous owners closed and boarded up our pub whilst attempting to sell. Everyone's front room has been taken away from us!

Sad Boarded-up Pub

However, in August 16 the pub was finally purchased by another party. Although there is a lot of work to do, we hope the current new owner is able to re-open it as soon as possible, and wish him all good fortune.

For your interest, copies of our then prospectus and business plan are still available from the navigation menu.
